About

We make recaps for people who think about shows after they end.

Stories in Stories is a small studio built around one idea: the best movies and shows are making an argument, and a recap is the place to find it. We catch you up on the whole story, then read it the way a friend who watched it twice would, the one who tells you what you missed the first time.

We work across drama, prestige series, film, and animation. Pulp gets the same attention as the heavyweights. The format is long, the pace is close, and every episode is built to reward a second watch of its own.

How we work

Each recap starts from the source and stays there. Every claim traces back to something on screen. We catch you up scene by scene, follow the through-line that holds the show together, and read the craft along the way: what the camera held on, what the edit left out, what a quiet scene was carrying.

We treat the people on screen as people. Characters in trouble are never the joke. Heavy material gets the weight it asks for; lighter material keeps the curiosity but lifts the energy. The voice is warm and direct, and it assumes you're smart.

What we hold to

Grounded in the source

No invented detail, no guesswork. If it isn't on screen, it doesn't go in the recap.

Argument over summary

A recap that only lists events is not finished. We find what the show is saying and build the episode around it.

Empathy as default

The people on screen get read as people. We never punch down at a character in trouble.

Made to re-watch

We layer in the detail you'll catch the second time, so the recap holds up to a rewatch of its own.
